- Key Properties
Durability: Strong and impact-resistant, making it suitable for functional parts.
Flexibility: Less brittle than PLA, offering moderate flexibility.
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to water, acids, and alkalis.
Transparency: Available in transparent options, ideal for aesthetic applications.
Low Odor: Emits very little odor during printing.
2. Printing Properties
Nozzle Temperature:
Range: 220°C to 250°C
Optimal: Typically 230°C to 245°C depending on the brand.
Bed Temperature:
Range: 70°C to 90°C
Optimal: Around 80°C works for most PETG filaments.
Adhesion:
Strong adhesion to the build plate; may bond too tightly to glass if not handled carefully. Use a layer of glue stick or painter’s tape as a release barrier.
Speed: Slightly slower than PLA; typically 40–60 mm/s for optimal quality.
Cooling:
Minimal part cooling is recommended (20%-50%) to avoid weak layer bonding.
